$350 Deck Inspections

From start to finish a wonderful experience. The estimator, Ren, came out immediately and was very patient, professional and enthusiastic. He was on time for our appointment and showed us many samples and offered many different options for proceeding. The customer service liaison, Hope, was an incredibly charming woman who seemed that our satisfaction was very important to her and their company. She explained everything as it would happen. The workmen came out early in the morning and worked diligently and professionally. They cleaned up everything at the end of the day, so you would never even know they were there....except my ugly warped deck was now GORGEOUS! We could not believe how fast these gentlemen worked! One gentleman even came back for some final touches in the rain! Our only regret was that we put it off so long...we should have called them years ago! Deck Guru is a trustworthy and professional group of people that were a pleasure to work with and worth every penny spent! - 5/11/2022 

Before we chose Deck Guru we had experienced many unfavorable estimates from multiple deck contracting companies. The level of attention and professionalism by Deck Guru is why we chose their services. It all started with our sit down & estimate with Bunmi. She was professional, thorough , had sample materials, & was able to create our estimate same day. After she left our home my wife & I knew we had found the right company. Our project took 3 days to complete & the crew transformed our deck from looking tired & run down to looking fresh & new with Trex. Thank you Deck Guru ! - 4/27/2022 

I’m giving Deck-Guru 5/5 stars. I will break down this review into 2 parts: job and service.Job:On their first visit, the contractors didn’t do a great job. However, the company stood by their promise and asked the contractors to return to fix their errors without charging me more money. The finished job looks great now, and I am very happy. I’m posting pictures showing the excellent work. I had 3 jobs done:First, the deck floor was sanded and stained. The contractors returned to touch up uneven/dried out edges (see pics). They gave me the leftover stain for future use.Second, edges of the new post were sanded to look just like the old posts (see pics). The post was stained all the way to the ground.Third, all the posts were properly sanded and then stained (see pics).Being first time a homeowner, I was inexperience and did not discuss all the job details with the contractors on their first visit. Hence, these guys might have thought I wanted to cheat them with my requests, and so they were unhappy with me on their first visit. However, on their second visit, I chatted with them to resolve all the required tasks. Now, we are pretty much best buddies. =)I recommend that you check all the requirements with the contractors. It’s unavoidable that there will be some miscommunication on their list and your contract. Fair’s fair though, I give credit to Deck-Guru for correcting their mistakes.Service:Their salesperson Drew was very helpful. He didn’t upsell me anything that the deck didn’t need fixing. I appreciate his honesty.Deck-Guru operational manager Amy was also very helpful, she was on the phone with me as I was talking with the contractors. She made sure that all the listed items on my contract were completed. I appreciate her help and patience with me (by trade, I’m in the research industry, and so I’m a very difficult person as I don’t like subpar results).Lastly, I talked with Deck-Guru owner, and he apologized for their mistakes during contractor’s first visit. I appreciate owner who reached out to their customers. I must say that you won’t be disappointed with Deck-Guru.Side note:Some negative reviews complained that Deck-Guru requires a job priced at least $2500 and/or Deck-Guru doesn’t do certain types of repairs. Personally, I didn’t find these comments useful, because they didn’t mention how the company would treat you when you don’t like how the job was first done. - 11/25/2021

So we just had our deck restoration completed with Deck Guru. We were not only happy with the materials (Trex), but also the fast and seem less workmanship. The process was was very efficient, withe help of Amy (project manager) and especially Hope (customer service manager). Hope went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and up to date on the process. I would recommend Deck Guru to everyone. - 8/12/2021

Great company. In every way a customer demands. One thing made it standout above the others interviewed. We needed a deck replacement. It was the only company which suggested using the infrastructure that was in place. The deck was only a foot off the ground. They opened the decking. Determined the footings were solid. I agreed. Saved thousands of dollars. Plus really nice people. - 7/25/2021

Deck Guru went above and beyond in their work to give us the prefect deck that we are very happy with. Throughout the process their team right from the management to the crew that came in to do the work were professional, kind, responsive and very helpful. I am not an easy customer sometimes but they listened and addressed any questions or concerns promptly and courteously.The crew who worked on the deck were very efficient, they cleaned up after their work and any remaining materials were removed the very next day. In addition the roll-off dumpster that was placed on our driveway during the work was also removed immediately after the work . This was a big positive for me as I have seen some of my neighbors have work done on their property and the dumpster just seems to sit there for weeks even after the work is complete.Also important to remember is that if additional materials such as rail posts or joists are needed for any reason Deck Guru being a sister company of Sunburst Constructions is able to get this the very next day and you do not have to wait .We will not hesitate to call Deck Guru in the future. We highly recommend them for any deck work , you will definitely be impressed. - 5/25/2021
